SWO Pastor’s Common sprang from the idea that Pastor’s actually pastor better in groups
Some of us have resources others don’t, some have idea’s that others don’t, some have videos, images, messages, bulletin designs, and more that we own the rights to that we keep to ourselves. Our idea is that a pastor with the support of other pastors is better than a pastor doing it all on his/her own.
What you’ll find on the Pastor’s Common are simply “What we do’s” and “How we do’s” from many of the pastors on the SouthWestern Ohio District Church of the Nazarene. This is not a site for pastors to simply blog about how they’re feeling, complain about hymns or new music or shout out about how the KJV is God’s version of the Bible. We exist for pastors to share real-world, tried and tested, practical resources with each other.
Please take away whatever you want from our posts and re-create them as you see fit in your own church, comment and share your own experiences with the authors, and add to the discussion in your own way… and please, don’t take credit for someone else’s work…
awesome! thanks for mentioning this in preaching class, Mark. I’ll be stopping by for sure. In case you don’t see my comment (under Chad’s – I think Chad’s, anyway – post about Communion), it would be helpful if, within wordpress, there is a way to identify the author of each post – most multiple-contributor blogs have something like this. just an idea – thanks again!
